My Zubaan Learning Journey

As a Pakistani Muslim living in the West, I have always given importance and been passionate about learning Urdu and obtaining knowledge of Islam. 

Though it took significant effort from my parents, I have benefited greatly by being able to fluently speak Urdu. I am able to connect with and understand my culture, enjoy movies, songs and Urdu poetry as well as create strong relations with fellow Urdu-speakers both in Pakistan and overseas. Learning about my religion helped me to understand it's importance in my life and gave me a strong moral centre. Being bilingual and having been taught about my religion from a young age also gave me a strong sense of identity and confidence in myself growing up.

 After the birth of my first child, I was adamant on teaching her Urdu and to educate her about Islam so that she too could enjoy her culture, heritage and understand the religion just as I had. I also wanted to teach her this knowledge so that she could be empowered by her identity as a young, Pakistani, Muslim, girl growing up in the West.

  That is why I began the search for Islamic and Urdu educational toys. After extensive research I was able to find many books for all ages however, I found that they were not able to gage my child's attention for long. I, therefore, begin a new search for play-based learning materials. Due to the limited options available in the market, Zubaan Learning was born.

  The word 'zubaan' means language in both Urdu and Arabic. It is the basis of communication. The brand is a platform for the development of wooden play-based material for children. The aim is to engage them in hours of fun and learning of Islamic concepts and the Urdu language. All products are tested for safety and are designed to simply yet effectively convey educational concepts.

 All our products are made with love and care. They are made so little ones can easily wrap their hands around them and use bright colours for visual engagement. Each of our products are processed then reviewed by hand to ensure quality. All our Islamic educational products are reviewed and verified by professional scholars in the field to ensure the accuracy of the content.
